Novell ZENworks

You probably know ZENworks intimately - but for those that don't - take a glance at the ZENworks product pages

The 30 second pitch: ZENworks is the name for Novell's systems management, configuration management and end-point security management product. The ZENworks family of products is broad - from Windows to Linux, desktop to tablet to server to handheld, from patch to inventory and asset management. ZENworks is designed to make the systems administators life easy.

Open source content instead of code!

We all know the traditional ZENworks CoolSolutions articles, they are a great source for tips and tricks. The Wiki pages make it possible to be much more flexible and have people share information and work together to get some great content.

One of the main benefits is that people can add additional information into a page, as for example if someone wrote an article about how to work with add-on images but you've got some additional tricks that might be useful, just add this information to the article so that others can use it as well.

If you've used a wiki before, you'll have no trouble getting used to this format. If not, you should take a minute to learn more about it.

Everything ZENworks

Best Practices

Like the name already indicates this should cover the best info gathered from experience. With this in mind it's clear that a best practice guide should be a dynamic document where the latest experiences from the field are gathered so that others can use this. A published document is outdated after the next implementation of the product, so we need to be able to gather the new information that is found during the implementations in the field. Add your best practice information and have others have a great experience as well while using ZENworks.

Cook Books and the like
