Setup Instructions
- On the phone, verify that you have a working wifi or data connection. If your Novell Data Sync Server resides inside a firewall, ensure that your internet connection will allow you to access it.
- On phone, go to Email > menu key > Add Account.
- Enter email address and password.
- Select "Exchange Activesync" and configure manually
- Populate the required fields with the correct information (user email address, userid, password, server IP address, etc.)(check "accept all certificates" if using a self-signed certificate)
- Reference the note in the section below, SSL Considerations.
- Finish walking through the steps and complete setup.
- Your Email, Calendar, and Contacts can now sync.
- If calendar or contacts don't seem to be syncing yet, create a calendar event or contact on the device and sync it to the Data Sync Server. This sometimes speeds up the process.

- Creating a recurring appointment on the device will cause the calendar to stop syncing incoming appointments. If this occurs, removing the recurring appointment from the device calendar will correct the problem.
- All day events created in the GroupWise Client may span multiple days on the device. If this happens, go to the device calendar and push the menu button. Select Settings, enable the "Lock time zone" setting and update the "Select time zone" setting to be set to the same time zone as configured on the machine where the GroupWise Client is running.
