FQDN of Kubernetes API

How to connect a loadbalancer to the API?

During installation, you are asked for the FQDN of the Kubernetes API. If you have an external load balancer, configure it for the name, and route ports 6443 and 32000 to all your master nodes.


How to distribute load to the Kubernetes API without a loadbalancer?

Without a load balancer, create a DNS round robin record for the FQDN which points at all of the Kubernetes Masters simultaneously. This will not provide the same level of High Availability, or evenness of request distribution as a real load balancer.
