IDMunit

IDMunit is an open-source project that allows you to create test cases to test your Identity Manager system. It integrates with Identity Manager Designer and supports either Windows or Linux, and either Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice.org spreadsheets.

Test sequences can be made by placing commands and parameters in spreadsheets and then are executed from within Designer. Because the test cases are in spreadsheets with easy-to-understand command sequences, the test cases are easy to print out and share. In a complex IDM system, working out specific object creation, modification, move, delete, and other activities manually becomes very time-consuming and error-prone. IDMunit allows automation of these tests in a format easy to document.

Installation is not simple, but the process is detailed in the documentation. IDMunit does increase the amount of memory required for Designer.

To download the software or get documentation for it, look at the IDMunit website.
