Setup Instructions

Basic instructions on getting your Mobility Pack running on your HTC Evo device:


1. Make sure that your Mobility Pack server is up and running and you have the following information:

  • Server address
  • Port (if non-standard)
  • Whether the server requires a secure connection or not

2. From the main home page, click on the "Menu" button.

  • Select "All apps"
  • Scroll down to "Mail"
  • You will be prompted to choose a mail provider, select "Exchange ActiveSync".

3. It will now prompt you to enter in the information for the account you are adding:

  • First, make sure to choose "Manual Setup".
  • Now you can enter in your
    • email address
      • NOTE: When entering your email address, make sure you type in the complete domain, not an abbreviated version of the domain. (For example, if the full domain is @g40.lab.novell.com, do not just type @novell.com, type the full thing)
    • server address
    • domain (optional)
    • username
    • password
    • Also select if your account has an encrypted SSL connection.
  • Click "Next"
