Nokia

Problems downloading Intellisync client

Sometimes a phone may refuse the download with an error along the lines of "File too big". In that case, check that you have free space available (the Intellisync j2me client is approx 800k). Also check that your operator has not put a limit on your downloads. If that is the case you may transfer the software through an USB cable.

Problems running the Intellisync client

If the phone refuses to run the client after you have installed it, usually with an error "Invalid file" then check that your telephone can indeed run a file of that size. Soem older (say 2004) Nokia phones such as the 6xxx-series have a maximum on 64k. With an firmware upgrade this can be pushed upwards, but the exact maximum varies from model to model.

Problems running the Intellisync client

You might get an "Operation failed" when starting the Intellisync client. In that case, make sure that the phone has the latest firmware. For example, the Sony Ericsson K800i and K610i require firmware version MR4 or later.

Contacts do not sync after installing Intellisync client

After the initial installation of the Intellisync client, existing contacts on a PalmOS device do not sync to GroupWise even after creating corresponding address books in GroupWise and enabling sync. This is working as designed. Please see TID 3560264 for more details.

Internet e-mails show Mime.822 attachment

When using GMS for Linux 2.0.3 with PalmOS devices and a GroupWise 7.0.3 backend all Internet e-mails display a Mine.822 attachment. This is a known issue and a GMS patch will be released shortly to address this.

Windows Mobile

Over-the-Air Installation does not configure server settings

When installing the PocketPC client on a Windows Mobile 6 Professional device (e.g. Samsung SCH-i760), the server settings such as server name, are not configured automatically. These settings must be input manually after installing the client.
