Setup Instructions

SSL Considerations

  • Device only works with SSL on port 443, will not connect on port 80 with or without SSL. I used a simple IPTABLES redirect rule to have 443 traffic redirect to port 80 on my SYNC server.
  • Using a free StartSSL certificate (or any unknown CA) can work if you add the CA cert chain using this tip at MSDN:

SSLChainSaver

  • Simply download the SSLChainSaver script to generate the XML, then use MAKECAB to create a CAB file that can be transferred to the Windows Mobile device.
