Setup Instructions

Basic instructions on getting your Mobility Pack running on your HTC Evo device:

1. Make sure that your Mobility Pack server is up and running and you have the following information:

  • Server address
  • Port (if non-standard)
  • Whether the server requires a secure connection or not

2. From the main home page, click on the "Menu" button.

  • Select "All apps"
  • Scroll down to "Mail"
  • You will be prompted to choose a mail provider, select "Exchange ActiveSync".

3. It will now prompt you to enter in the information for the account you are adding:

  • First, make sure to choose "Manual Setup".
  • Now you can enter in your
    • email address
      • NOTE: When entering your email address, make sure you type in the complete domain, not an abbreviated version of the domain. (For example, if the full domain is, do not just type, type the full thing)
    • server address
    • domain (optional)
    • username
    • password
    • Also select if your account has an encrypted SSL connection.
  • Click "Next"
  • A security warning may pop up telling that "This certificate is not from a trusted authority". Click "Continue".

4. Select to sync mail, contacts, and calendar items (if you wish for these items to be sync to your device)

  • Click "Finish setup"

5. Your Samsung Galaxy S III should now start syncing all the items that you selected. Go to mail, calendar, or contacts to view the synced items.

Currently, Android 4.X Does not send out push notifications for emails sent directly to sub folders through Group wise folder rules. It does work for previous android versions.

Currently the device/touchwiz does not display email sub-folders but still displays the mail inside them.
