RHEL/RES GPG Keys

RHEL and Redhat Expanded Support (RES) clients needs the correct RPM keys in order to install packages.

Otherwise you'll get errors like this during bootstrap:

Error while executing packages action: Public key for spacewalk-check-2.5.13.7-36.1.noarch.rpm is not installed

Which keys do I need ?

If you use the RES channel, you need the RES gpg key. For the Client Tools channel you use the (correct) SUSE key. Here is the list which SUSE key is used for which RES version:

  • RES5: sles10 key
  • RES6: sles11 key
  • RES7: sles12 key

All keys are available on SUSE Manager in the pub directory

  • ptf-gpg-pubkey-b37b98a9-5328792f.key
  • res-gpg-pubkey-0182b964-4911a584.key
  • sle10-gpg-pubkey-9c800aca-53287d18.key
  • sle11-gpg-pubkey-307e3d54-53287cdc.key
  • sle12-gpg-pubkey-39db7c82-510a966b.key
  • sle12-reserve-gpg-pubkey-50a3dd1c-50f35137.key

NOTE: SLE15 use the same gpg keys as sle12

Be sure to copy any and all relevant GPG keys to /srv/www/htdocs/pub. This includes the EPEL key, SUSE keys, Red Hat keys, and CentOS keys. By copying them there, you can reference them in a comma-delimited list in your bootstrap script.

The SUSE Manager Tools channel is NOT signed with the res key. Please include all the SUSE keys you see that are already in /srv/www/htdocs/pub in your list. That should take care of it.
