Device Summary

Currently Supported for Novell Data Synchronizer?   No
Approximate last test date:   January 2011
Ease of Setup   Excellent
Email   Fully Supported
Contacts Fully Supported
Calendar   Fully Supported

OS Requirements:

Runs using WinMobile OS

Setup Instructions

1. Press the button with the windows symbol on it (to the left of the circle button(.
2. Go to Tools.
3. Select ActiveSync.
4. Select Menu and click on Add Server Source
5. Enter email address > Next. Also un-check the option to "Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings Automatically".
NOTE: There are several functionalities of Mobility Pack that require that the domain on your email address is complete and valid. If it's not exactly right some things such as modifying appointments probably won't work.
6. Enter server address and select whether or not the server you are using requires a secure (SSL) connection. > Next.
NOTE: Make sure you know whether the cert you have set up on the mobility pack server requires that you enter the server name or server IP or if either one will work.
7. Enter username, password and domain > Next
NOTE: The domain does not have to be a valid domain (though it can be). For example you could put something like garbage.com or bogus.net. It's basically just a space filler, it just needs something in there.
8. Select which components that you want to sync such as Contacts, Email, Calendar Items > Next
9. Press Finish
10. Then you're items should start syncing. You'll know it's working when you see the green circle with the white arrows in it spinning and you'll see the items "processing" in the top right corner of the screen
NOTE: If it appears to sync in only about 3-4 seconds and seems finished then it probably didn't work.

SSL Considerations

  • To use a secure connection, you must have a valid certificate. Use a certificate from a trusted third party.
