Setup Instructions
Basic instructions on getting your Mobility Pack running on your HTC Evo device:
1. Make sure that your Mobility Pack server is up and running and you have the following information:
- Server address
- Port (if non-standard)
- Whether the server requires a secure connection or not
2.From the main home page, click on the "Menu" button.
- Select "Email Setup"
- You will be prompted to choose a mail provider, select "Outlook".
3. It will now prompt you to enter in the information for the account you are adding:
- Enter your email address
- NOTE: When entering your email address, make sure you type in the complete domain, not an abbreviated version of the domain. (For example, if the full domain is @g40.lab.novell.com, do not just type @novell.com, type the full thing)
- Password
- Click "Sing in"
- A text on the top will appear telling that "We are looking for your setting"
- Confirm the "username" is correct
- Add the domain
- Another text on the top will appear telling that "We are looking for your settings" and then "We couldn´t find your settings" and gives you two options, select "advanced"
- Now add the server
- Click "Sign in"
- A security warning may pop up telling that "Outlook error: there is a problem with the certificate for (server address)". Click "close".
4. Go to main menu and click the arrow on the right side
- Go to the bottom and click on "Settings"
- Select "email and accounts"
- Click on "outlook"
- Deselect "server requires encrypted (SSL) connection" and save.
5.Your HTC Surround should now start syncing all the items that you selected. Go to mail, calendar, or contacts to view the synced items.

When creating an Email, looking up for contacts by email address is not working, you will have to add the whole email address.
