Copy the message header of one spam post and past it into the private.kp.business.forums.spam newsgroup to let us know. Let us know if there is more than one and they all will be taken care of.
Just click on the little triangle at the bottom of a message and report it as spam. Write anything you want us to know in the text box before sending. It will be taken care of.
That's it! You're done. It will be taken care of. Go back to doing what you were doing.
You are not required to handle spam. Just reporting it is a huge favor to us and you can go on responding to technical messages. HOWEVER, if you would like to help manage spam, here are some pointers:**NOTE:** Anything you delete on the NNTP side with Andy's or Anders' tools, will be handled via the gateway and be deleted on the web side. The user will NOT be banned, however, so it would be good if you could ask someone to do that when you report the post(s).
TO DELETE SPAM ON THE WEB SIDE:
First report the spam message. If you're not going to do both web and NNTP side, ask someone to get the NNTP side when you report the message. Check the box in the upper right corner of the spam post(s) Click on the MODERATE button at the bottom of the thread Check DELETE POSTS AS SPAM then hit the PROCEED button. At the top of the resultant box, check "Delete other posts and threads started by the affected users" This will ensure all spam from that user gets deleted
Select SOFT DELETE in the delete options so we can go back and view the message/user information once it's deleted. Only employees/KPs will be able to see the deleted message Under PUNITIVE ACTION, select BAN THESE USERS so they can't post again Ban them forever, and put a reason for banning. I usually just put "Spammer" as the reason.

TO DELETE SPAM ON THE NNTP SIDE:
To delete spam on the NNTP side, just use one of the tools outlined in the "Cancel Forum Spam Messages" section of this web page: http://support.novell.com/scforums/ Be careful not to delete all our forum posts please!
