Configuring OES Products to Use New Certificates

Background

This article covers any configuration steps necessary for Novell OES add-on products to use a newly installed certificate. It does not cover minting or installing the certificate (the traditional pkidiag functions), which is covered in detail in the great Recreating Server Certificates on OES Linux article. Note that executing the steps in the referenced article is sufficient for most products.

Novell Archive and Version Services

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Backup / Storage Management Services

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Cluster Services

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell DHCP

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell DNS

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell eDirectory

Use iManager or ConsoleOne to configure the LDAP server to use the new certificate.


Novell FTP

No additional steps are necessary for the default configuration. If you are using tls with pure-ftpd, copy the private key to /etc/ssl/private/pure-ftpd.pem.


Novell iFolder

Follow the instructions in TID 3248305.


Novell iManager

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell iPrint

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Linux User Management

Execute namconfig -k to import the certificate file.


Novell NCP Server

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell NetStorage

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell QuickFinder

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Remote Manager

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Samba

No additional steps are necessary.


Novell Storage Services
